I have purchased several of these and I keep having random device issues. I have even sent a couple in for repair but no issue was found. I'm not sure what USB standard is being followed but it's not a very reliable one.I have had devices that were working normally all of a sudden stop working. When I unplug it and move it to a different port it will work for a little while and then quit working. All of the 7 port hubs I have are connected to Intel NUC's which are short on USB ports. YMMV

It's a great hub with good mounting options. Another pro: the power and to-pc USB cable are on the back, which weirdly isn't standard on some hubs. Haven't run speed tests but don't really care, it's for peripherals like mouse, headset, keyboard, etc that I didn't have enough ports for.

Hub would not detect and install drivers when plugged into a USB 3 port. Worked properly when plugged into a USB 2 port. Only use for low speed devices such as keyboards, printers, etc.

Nice, well built product. Perfect for hard mounting on my wood monitor stand. The metal construction and industrial look and feel was perfect for my needs. It also just works like it should.

This is a solid product that just looks and feels like quality! The all-metal case has 7 ports. Since I have a host of external devices that need to be plugged into this from time to time, it's really great to have! I have it securely fastened to the edge of my desktop. It works better than I expected!! I would highly recommend this to anyone needing to expand their USB ports.

The hub seems very sturdy. I have used about 150 of these units. In testing we have only gone through 2 or 3 that have had bad USB ports or died for some strange reason on arrival. Overall it has worked great, any unit that made it past the initial testing has been reliable. Only thing I wish it had was an LED to tell you the port is working.
